Why I started Coached

Hi, I'm Ben Pulham.
Most athletes just call me Coach

I raced professionally as a triathlete until 2007. When I stopped racing, I started coaching.

The goal was simple: help amateur athletes train well. Set zones properly. Measure progress. Enjoy the process.

During my career I worked with world-class coaches and trained alongside some of the best in the sport.

That environment shapes how I still think about training today.

How sessions fit together. Why recovery and fuelling matter as much as effort. How good decisions compound over time.

Coached is how I share those lessons. Clear structure, real support, and training that actually fits your life.

We’re a small team of passionate coaches who care about helping everyday athletes train well.

Jim Webster

Jim is an Exercise Physiologist and Lab Manager at Coached.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science and has worked with hundreds of people to improve how they train, fuel, and live.

Jim thinks guessing is overrated. He uses data to tell athletes what's actually going on.

He leads all testing in the Coached Lab, helping athletes understand their numbers and use them with purpose.

With a strong background in strength and conditioning, he enjoys teaching people how their body works and what practical steps they can take to get more from it.

Regine Goh

Regine Goh is an Exercise Scientist and Assistant Coach at Coached.

She graduated with a double major in Sport Science, Exercise and Health.

She knows the science and she's raced at national level. That combination is rare and genuinely useful.

What we believe

Training should make you healthier, not break you down.
Performance should come with longevity, not burnout.
Results come from process, not punishment.

That’s why our approach covers five areas:

Coached is simple, personal, and evidence-based. We believe in consistent work, smart recovery, and enjoying the process. Results take care of themselves.
