Lab Services

Lactate Testing

What it is: We measure lactate while you exercise, taking small blood samples as intensity increases. This shows where your training thresholds actually sit.

Why it matters: Most athletes train off estimates. This replaces them with real numbers. You get zones you can trust and a clear way to see if your training is working.

Metabolic Testing

What it is: We measure how your body uses fat and carbohydrates as intensity increases. This shows where you switch from fat to carbohydrate as your main fuel source.

Why it matters: Fuelling mistakes cost more races than lack of fitness. This test shows how to fuel training and racing so you last longer, avoid fading late, and understand what it takes to get lean without under-fueling.

Who it’s for: Endurance athletes who want to optimise fueling and pacing, as well as anyone looking to improve fat utilisation for weight loss or long-term health.

Duration: 60 minutes (running), 90 minutes (cycling).

Sweat Testing

What it is: A simple test that measures how much sodium you lose when you sweat.

Why it matters: Hydration advice is often generic. This replaces it with personalised numbers. You get a clear hydration strategy to reduce cramping, dehydration, and gut issues during training and racing.

Who it’s for: Athletes training in hot or humid conditions, long-distance runners, triathletes, cyclists, and HYROX athletes who sweat heavily.

VO₂max Testing

What it is: A graded exercise test that measures your maximal oxygen uptake — the gold standard of aerobic fitness.
