Hydration isn’t one-size-fits-all. Test it.

Hydration is not just about how much you drink – it's about what's in your sweat. Lose too much sodium and performance fades. Cramps show up. Fatigue sets in. Lose less than you think and you may be overdoing salts or wasting money on the wrong drinks.

A sweat test gives you clarity, so you can hydrate with intent and perform at your best.

« Before you test

You know you sweat a lot, but you do not know what it means. You drink sports drinks without knowing which ones actually help or how much you need. In the heat, things fall apart. Cramps creep in. Training feels harder than it should.

After you test »

You know exactly how much sodium you lose in every litre of sweat. That number is personal and it rarely changes. With that clarity, you build a hydration strategy that fits you. Training quality improves. The risk of cramping drops. And race day feels more controlled.

How it works

We run this test in partnership with Precision Fuel & Hydration.

  • Non-invasive: no needles, no exercise required.
  • Quick: about 45 minutes, including consultation.
  • Accurate: we stimulate a small patch of sweat glands on your forearm, capture the sweat, and run it through our analyser to measure sodium concentration.

From there, we design a hydration plan built around your unique physiology — so you know what to drink, how much, and when.

FAQ

Do I need to exercise during the test?

No. Sweat testing is completely non-invasive and does not require you to exercise. We stimulate your sweat glands with mild electrical currents and capture the sweat directly from your forearm.

How accurate is the test?

Very accurate. Sodium concentration in sweat is genetically determined and does not change. Once you know your number, it’s yours for life.

What if I already use sports drinks or electrolytes?

Bring them along. We’ll review their sodium content against your results and adjust your hydration strategy to make sure you’re getting the right balance.

Will this stop my cramps?

Cramps are complex and can have multiple causes, but sodium imbalance is a major factor. Understanding your sodium loss and adjusting your hydration makes cramps far less likely.

Do I need to re-test in the future?

No. Unlike fitness metrics that change with training, your sweat sodium concentration generally stays the same. One test is enough to set you up.

Is this just for hot-weather athletes?

No. Even in cooler conditions, poor hydration can limit your performance and recovery. But if you race or train in the heat, a tailored hydration plan is even more critical.
